Current Band Director
Kirsten Showers is the band director of Wayne High School, currently in her tenth year in Huber Heights. She conducts the Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, and Marching Band in performances locally and at festivals, parades, and other events throughout the region. Her tenure at Wayne High School has been highlighted by the annual Memorial Day Celebration Concert, which she initiated. She also has conducted the pit orchestra for several school musicals here at Wayne, including Fiddler On the Roof, Once Upon a Mattress, Aida, Lil Abner, The Sound of Music, and Anything Goes. She continues to perform on the French Horn in local shows and with the Sinclair Wind Ensemble, and has appeared with the US Military Academy Band at West Point, NY. Mrs. Showers received her Bachelors degree from Bowling Green State University and her Masters degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

2 great kids, Alex is 7 and goes to LaMendola; Kyle is 2 and goes to Mini University at Wright State.
