Mission Statement
Welcome to Warrior BandMates, which is the Wayne HS Alumni Band organization of Huber Heights Ohio created to serve and support the Wayne HS Band and its, alumni. Membership includes graduating members of the Band-Orchestra-Warriorettes-Flags. It is with deep respect and great admiration that this web site is dedicated to Mr. Richard G. Wiggenhorn, Wayne's Band Director from 1964-1987, whose outstanding leadership and devotion to his students has become his enduring legacy. His bands entertained and excited audiences everywhere often to standing ovations. Kirsten Showers, Wayne's present-day director of bands, tenure in that capacity began in 1999 and is 2nd only to that of Richard Wiggenhorn. She continues the great tradtion of the "Band That Dares To Be Different" through creative innovations of her own that make the Wayne HS Band a band of quality entertainment and education.

WAYNE ALUMNI SHOW BAND
Attention All Wayne Band Alumni including Band - Warriorettes - Flags we are now recruiting for the Wayne Alumni Show Band, which will debut in it's entirety at Half Time USA 2012. To register simply click on the registration tab located in the above task bar where you will find committee member contacts to sign up with for all 3 groups making up the band. The band's show is designed so that alumni of all ages will be able to perform in the show. Music does not have to be memorized. The band performed at Half Time USA in 2011 and had a fabulous experience. Now that the band is on track to be completed over the next several months we are adding the warriorettes and flags to complete the Wayne Alumni Show Band and are in the midst of planning a fantastic show for 2012! As you know the flag corps has been performing with their old flags from the 1980's... they just finished selecting their new flags for the 2012 show season, which will be on exhibition for the first time at Half Time USA 2012. Several comeback players who hadn't played their instruments for nearly 20 years joined the band this year and performed successfully with us in 2011... so don't let the fact you're a little or a lot rusty stop you from getting back into the musical swing of things ... it's great fun as you'll soon find out! Likewise if you are a Warriorette or Flag member most of our members haven't danced or twirled a flag since graduating rest assured it will come back to you rather quickly. We ask all alumni who would like to join the band to register with us no later than Jan 1st 2012. Spread the WORD!!

Meet the band and sight reading rehearsals will take place in March  and June of 2012 to work through the show music. Tanya Best class of 1980 is the Wayne Alumni Show Band's Director.

Coming soon to YouTube "Spotlight On The Wayne Alumni ShowBand"  this video presentation will highlight information about the band and it's upcoming events. Our planning includes the band performing at 2 to 3 events in 2012.  See you in 2012!!!
